Sometimes you’ve got to have cake.

Hello my pretties! Would you like to become cake? Ok, I'll make cake.

The local farmers market returned this weekend from its holiday hiatus and I was really excited to take Lucas there to explore all the lovely produce. We showed up at our usual time in the afternoon and the place was nearly cleaned out! I guess we weren’t the only ones that missed the market during the two week hiatus! I did score these lovely blueberries.

When I saw them I thought of the yummy Blueberry Buttermilk Cake that I made last summer and decided we needed to have it again.

Oh my gosh! This cake was just as delicious as the first time I made it! I used Smitten Kitchen’s Rasberry Buttermilk Cake, which I love because you can substitute the raspberries with any berry of your choice. Also, it’s a really easy and quick recipe!

This kid looks like he’s going to crawl soon. I don’t know how I feel about that!
